We use reclaimed lumber and scrap from local urban milled trees for our live edge rugged sophistication line of slab cutting and service boards. Each one is unique and each is made to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
Our mid-century modern line uses beautiful old growth mahogany boards that were salvaged scrap wood destined for the dump. My brother in law saves them so we can plane, sand and seal them to create beautiful one of a kind functional service boards.
Many carving boards have a channel around the outside often without a way to save the reserve juices. Why?
Our boards are re-designed to have the meat juices flow like a stream down the center of the board. The juices keep the meat moist by going under and into a reservoir. A pour channel let's you easily pour off the reserve juices.
Using the principles of biomimicry our design follows the intelligence found in nature and it works! Check out the short YouTube video.
